Devotees experience

At the end of 2019, while I was searching for spiritual information on the internet, I came across a video – a speech by Bhagwan Shree Sanjay Sai Baba. As I listened, I was amazed by how Baba provided simple, clear, and at the same time practical solutions to the challenges we face in the world today. What was very special was that Swami did this in such a clear and understandable way. I felt an immediate connection and was left in awe. I thought, “My God, who is this person? How does He know these things? He cannot be an ordinary person, because most ordinary people are too focused on themselves and pay little attention to the state of the world.”

Baba’s solutions were simple yet profound, and the more I listened, the more fascinated I became. For the first time in years, I felt immense joy and relief. I thought to myself, “This person must be a true devotee of God, someone who has not only understood the divine message but has also put it into practice. At last, I have found someone like this.”

That first night, I could hardly sleep. I kept waking up. I immediately grabbed my laptop to listen to his speeches again. The second night went the same way. At the office, I couldn’t concentrate; the question, “Who is this person? I need to know who He is,” was the most important thing for me. After work, I quickly went home and continued to study this extraordinary person. At one point, I realized, “He cannot just be a devotee; perhaps He is one of the Devtas, because an ordinary devotee cannot possess such tranquility, radiance, universal knowledge, and all-encompassing solutions.”

The third day followed the same pattern. Eventually, I realized, “He is not a perfect devotee of God, nor one of the Devtas. He is none other than an Avatar, the Creator Himself, incarnated in Nepal.”

This realization left me utterly silent, in a state of shock. I sat on my couch, feeling as if the time and space had come to a standstill. After 20 to 30 minutes, I slowly regained my awareness, but I still wondered whether I was awake or dreaming. After having slept so little over the past two nights, I pinched my hands, ears, and nose, and even slapped myself, to make sure I was not dreaming. Slowly, I came to terms with the truth—it was real. It felt as if I had been born again, with a new life, a new chance, with an Avatar on Earth – a presence I was fortunate enough to recognize.

Swami is the current Avatar. We are living in an extraordinary time. Tears of joy and gratitude streamed down my face as I embraced this divine truth. My emotions deepened when I thought about how He chose Nepal—a land of rich culture and friendly people, which I first visited nine years ago and immediately felt at home in. It cannot be otherwise, for Swami had chosen Nepal as the place of His incarnation.

I immediately decided to visit Swamy in Nepal, but finding information about Swami from a devotee was more difficult than I thought, as I did not know anyone. The people I knew were mostly Parthi Sai devotees. And they knew nothing of Swami, and those who had heard of Him didn’t want to know. They were all waiting for Prema Sai and wanted nothing to do with Shree Sanjay Sai Baba. I was astonished; at least listening and researching seemed like the right course of action. I tried various tricks to get people to visit Swami and give me some information. Before long, I was in Nepal, and what I experienced from that moment, I might share again sometime later.

In essence, Swami’s teachings are simple and accessible to everyone, even children. However, it is important to remember that the true benefit can be realized through practice. Practice leads to transformation, and transformation brings us closer to Swami and our true self.
