A Journey from Longing to Divine Grace of Bhagwan Shree Sanjay Sai Baba

“When God becomes the Guru, every moment becomes a celebration.
When faith becomes the path, every step is guided by His grace.”

After Bhagawan Shree Sathya Sai Baba left His physical body, I felt a deep vacuum within. The yearning to be near the divine Sai Avatār in human form remained unfulfilled, leaving my heart heavy with longing.

It was during my stay in Muscat, Oman that destiny intervened. Smt. Chithra Narayan, a devoted follower of Sai, informed me about the advent of the third Sai AvatārBhagawan Shree Sanjay Sai Baba, who had incarnated in Kathmandu, Nepal. With her encouragement, I accompanied her to Nepal to witness His 29th birthday celebrations.

That first darshan was transformative. From His very first glance, I felt the love of a thousand mothers flowing towards me. In that moment, bliss embraced my being, and I knew my life had been touched by divinity forever. I remain ever grateful to my dearest Chithra for guiding me onto this sacred path. From then on, there has been no looking back. Swami’s grace has flowed abundantly in my life — always, everywhere, in every situation.

Whenever we pray with faith and surrender, His divine hand uplifts us. Truly, life becomes a celebration when God Himself becomes one’s Guru and Guide across this bhava sāgar of existence.

A Sweet Divine Leela in Muscat

During my visit to Kathmandu, during one of the satsangs, Swami lovingly shared how in His own school days, he used to feel fearful of the subject Physics. At that moment, with folded hands, I humbly mentioned “Swami, I teach Physics”.

What overwhelmed me most was that I had never spoken to Swami about my education or professional background. Yet, in His divine omniscience, He immediately invited me to come and teach at His sacred institution — Shree Sanjay Sai Vidhya Mandir (SSSVM) in Nepal. Truly, who can hide anything from Him?

By His grace, and with my husband’s wholehearted support, I joyfully accepted the invitation and returned to Nepal to offer my humble services, teaching Physics to the children at SSSVM.

Back in Muscat, while preparing Physics worksheets for Grade 10 students before my departure to Kathmandu, a beautiful miracle unfolded. After completing the document on my laptop, I sent it to the printer. To my utter amazement, the very first page that emerged had the word “SAI” printed right at the top — even though it was nowhere in my computer file.

I stood still, overwhelmed. This was no coincidence, but a gentle divine reminder of Swami’s omnipresence — a subtle yet powerful assurance that He is always with us, guiding every step and sanctifying even the smallest act of seva.

Such are the infinite leelas of our beloved Swami. Only blessed souls can taste this nectar of grace. He assures us always: “Take one step towards Me, and I shall take a hundred steps towards you.”

Bhagawan Shree Sanjay Sai Baba has come to protect those who walk the path of dharma and to lovingly guide and transform those who falter. In His divine mission, faith and patience are the keys that open the doors of grace.

Return to Odisha: A New Chapter Begins

After staying abroad for almost 27 years, we decided to leave Oman permanently and return to Odisha with a deep desire to work for the upliftment of farmers and our people. With Swami’s divine will, we shifted to Bhubaneswar.

Very soon, Bhagawan guided us further — the Odisha Chapter of Shree Sanjay Sai Seva Organisations was to begin, and by His grace, I was appointed as the Chairperson. At that time, the only other member present with me was my husband.

No sooner had we settled than the Covid-19 lockdown was declared. Our new residential complex, with its 18 floors in every block, was empty. We were the only residents in our block. Though totally isolated from the crowd, we felt this was Swami’s way of protecting us during such a critical time. We lived in complete safety and peace, fully embraced by His grace.

Seva in Silence

It was during this period that our seva activities began. Right across from our complex, near AIIMS Bhubaneswar, there are many small roadside stalls and dhabas. With the lockdown, these stalls remained closed, and the stray dogs and animals that depended on them for food were left starving.

Inspired by Swami, we started feeding these animals daily. This humble seva continued throughout the lockdown, until the stalls reopened, and the animals could again find food.

In the most testing of times, Swami gently showed us how seva is the truest beginning of any spiritual journey. From feeding the voiceless to serving humanity, His grace has always been our strength and our guiding light.

Mama’s Miracle

In our residential complex in Bhubaneswar, one of the housekeeping staff, affectionately called Mama, went through a heart-touching experience of Swami’s boundless grace.

Mama’s father, a simple man devoted to God, was a local singer who used to sing Shri Satyanarayan Pala during devotional gatherings. One unfortunate day, while cycling, he was hit by a vehicle. His head struck the ground, leaving the back of his head badly swollen. He was rushed to the hospital in a critical state.

Mama was already burdened with pain — abandoned by her husband, her only daughter taken away by distant relatives, she had no one left to depend on. I feared what would happen to her if her father, her only support, did not survive. With tears and prayers in my heart, I gave her Swami’s picture and some vibhuti, praying intensely to Swami for His intervention.

The very next day, Mama returned with unexpected joy. She had placed Swami’s picture under her father’s pillow and given him vibhuti mixed in water. Miraculously, by morning, the severe swelling had reduced significantly. Yet, the doctors insisted on surgery.

At that crucial time, her uncle unexpectedly came forward to cover all the hospital expenses, and by divine arrangement, one of the best surgeons — who usually came from Delhi — happened to be available.

On the morning of the operation, Mama once again placed Baba’s picture under her father’s pillow and continued giving vibhuti with full faith. Just then, the doctor entered and noticed what she was doing. Curious, he asked about Baba and the vibhuti. On hearing the story, the doctor asked his entire medical team to partake of the vibhuti. Not only did they accept it reverentially, but the doctor himself applied the sacred vibhuti on his forehead before beginning the procedure.

What was expected to be a long, complicated surgery of 3 to 4 hours was astonishingly completed in just 45 minutes — successfully! Mama’s father survived by Swami’s grace. Though he lost his voice temporarily due to the trauma of the accident, the doctor reassured that he could regain it anytime.

This divine episode is yet another reminder that Bhagawan Shree Sanjay Sai Baba is ever-present, ever-protective, and ever-compassionate. When faith and surrender are pure, His grace flows like a river, removing obstacles and filling hearts with hope.

At the divine lotus feet of Bhagawan Shri Sanjay Sai Baba, I offer my love, devotion, and eternal gratitude. May He bless all souls with faith, patience, and the strength to walk the dharmic path.
